De Belgian Society for Occupational Hygiene is de Belgische wetenschappelijke vereniging voor de arbeidshygiëne. De eerste bijeenkomst vond plaats op 8 juni 1989. Sinds 4 juni 1991 heeft ze de vorm van een v.z.w.
BSOH is gewijd aan de discipline en de toepassing van de arbeidshygiëne.

De definitie die gebruikt wordt door de International Occupational Hygiene Association is: "Arbeidshygiëne is de discipline van het anticiperen, herkennen, evalueren en beheersen van gevaren voor de gezondheid in de werkomgeving met als doel de bescherming van de gezondheid en het welzijn van de werknemers en de gemeenschap in het algemeen."
Waarom zou ik lid worden van BSOH? Bijblijven, opdoen van nieuwe kennis en uitwisseling van ervaringen zijn essentieel om op een professionele wijze zijn taken als arbeidshygiënist uit te voeren.

| This intensive course, organised by the University of Antwerp and the Institute of Tropical Medicine of Antwerp, in collaboration with Ghent University, University of Namur, Free University of Brussels, Sciensano and Perseus, provides a comprehensive review of all essential elements of assessing and managing biological risks. Theoretical aspects will be combined with diverse topics focused on daily practice. |
In the footsteps of our previous joint meeting in 2017, BSOH and BBP again joined forces to organize an event. This year, we will focus on where and how the occupational hygienist and the biosafety coordinator can collaborate. By means of practical cases, the roles of both functions and the opportunities for collaboration will be highlighted.

The International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) Subcommittee on Silica Dust Exposure and TB in coordination with the Mining Occupational Safety and Health (MinOSH) Scientific Committee presents a webinar highlighting the relationship between silica dust exposure and Tuberculosis (TB) risk and exploring strategies to reduce exposures.
